When can I buy camp?

• There are priority registration dates for Members. HMNS Membership must be current FAMILY LEVEL or above to take advantage of early registration dates. To qualify for the member rate, your membership must be valid at time of registration and during your purchased program.

Monday, November 25, 2024:  H.P. Attwater Society Level members

Tuesday, November 26, 2024:  Family Flex and above

Tuesday, December 3, 2024:  Family and above

Monday, March 3, 2025:  General Public

How can I buy camp?

• Summer Programs can be purchased online. Online registration is required for all camps and scout classes. Online registration provides instant confirmation. We are unable to accept registrations over the telephone or via email. 

What is the age policy for Summer Camps at HMNS?

• Our age policy for summer camps is that a student in the 6-7 age range must be at least 6 years old by September 1^st or entering into Grades 1-2. For our 8-9 age range, students must be at least 8 years old by September 1^st or entering into Grades 3-4. For our 10-12 age range, students must be at least 10 years old by September 1^st or entering into Grades 5-7. If your student has a summer birthday and is between age ranges, they can choose to attend either age range that can apply.

What is the age policy for Summer Scouts at HMNS?

• Classes follow the same guidelines as the BSA and Girl Scouts, as applicable, and are generally based on the grade that the Scout will be attending in the fall.

Scouts BSA: 

Tigers: 1^st grade 

Wolves: 2^nd grade

Bears: 3^rd grade

Webelos: 4^th-5^th grade

BSA: 6^th grade – 17 years old

Girl Scouts: 

Daisy: K-1^st grade 

Brownies: 2^nd-3^rd grade

Juniors: 4^th-5^th grade 

Cadettes: 6^th-8^th grade 

Seniors: 9^th-10^th grade

Can I transfer my camp purchase to another camper? 

• Registrations are not transferable from child to child.

Can my child participate in a Summer Scout class if they are not a scout?

• Your camper does not have to be a scout to participate in Scouting classes at HMNS! They just need to meet the age requirements for the class.

Are waitlists available for sold out camps?

• Yes! When a camp sells out online, a waitlist option will become available. You can fill out the information to be added to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, a member of the Summer Programs team will reach out to you to coordinate payment and purchase of that camp spot.
