What are your ages for tickets?

  • 0-2 years old: no ticket required, 3-11 years old: child price, 12-61 years old: adult price, 62 and older: senior price 


Do I have to buy a ticket for each exhibit?  

  • The museum’s permanent collection, spanning 4.5 floors of exhibits, are all covered by the Permanent Exhibit Halls ticket. 
  • Purchase of a ticket for either Special Exhibit also includes access to the Permanent Exhibits. 
  • King Tut's Tomb Discovery Experience, Death by Natural Causes, and Sharks! The Meg, The Monsters, & The Myths  require separate tickets.
  • The Burke Baker Planetarium, Wortham Giant Screen Theater, and Cockrell Butterfly Center require separate tickets 

Is there one ticket for everything? 

  • There is not one ticket that covers everything.  

Do I need to buy a ticket to the museum to go into the Butterfly Center? 

  • No, you only need to buy a ticket to the Butterfly Center. 


Can I buy a ticket for the Planetarium and go in all day? 

  • No, each ticket is for a specific show time.
