What do I get with a membership?

Members enjoy free, unlimited access to our permanent exhibits at HMNS at Hermann Park and HMNS at Sugar Land for a full year, plus discounted tickets for all other venues and events.
Discounts at all Museum Stores.
You will have access to the members-only line at the Box Office.
In addition, we host members-only events year-round, and offer members exclusive early access to upcoming exhibits.

Do I have to get tickets to go into the Permanent Exhibits?

Members do not need tickets to enter the Permanent Exhibit Halls. Present your member card at the exhibit entrance to be scanned and receive admission for all people covered under your membership. Additional guest tickets for anyone not covered by your membership must be purchased at the box office, online, or over the phone.

What benefits do I get at the George Observatory?

Member discounts for Saturday Stargazing twice a year for the entire month (generally April & September).
Member discounts on special events: VIP Starry Night, Family Rocket day, etc.
Member discounts in the George Observatory Museum Store.

Do I have to be present or can I give my friend my membership card?

Memberships are non-transferable. At least one cardholder on a membership must be present to receive benefits.

How many people can I bring with my membership?

That depends on the level of membership. For more details, please see our Membership page. Persons not covered under the membership are eligible for a discounted Member Guest rate on tickets.
