Hi [PATRON’S NAME]!
Thank you for reaching out!
We do allow ABA therapists and/or caregivers to be present if it is a needed accommodation for a disability and doesn't change the nature of the program, but we don't allow parents to spend the day in the classroom if that's not the case. If it is a needed accommodation for a disability, we can work with the Museum’s HR Department prior to your camper’s camp week to have background checks completed.
If background checks are passed, this will be communicated to your camper’s teacher and teaching assistants, and the ABA therapist and/or caregiver would be able to be inside the classroom and/or sign the camper out whenever it’s necessary. If you’d like your camper to have some solo time in the classroom, the ABA therapist and/or caregiver is also always welcome to step out into the hall or be nearby instead of staying in the classroom.
Please let us know what might work best to support your camper, and we can go from there!
Thank you,
[YOUR NAME]
